SHOW CONTRACTS If you have not yet turned in your show contracts, please do so as soon as possible. ----------------------- SPECIAL EXHIBITS Marcus Thorn will be flying in from Australia to demo Tiki carving. Calvin Minoda will be displaying a collection of milk tokens from Oahu Dairys. The 501st Pacific Outpost Legion and Oahu Anime Explorers Club will be back in full regalia. Good Bears of the World are looking for Teddy Bear donations and members of the Doll Hui, Coin & Stamp Clubs will be available to give collecting advice. ---------------------- NEW THURS SETUP HOURS Setup hours on Thursday are from 4pm to 8pm. We will open large sliding doors in the rear loading area (pick up your badges here) and the glass doors on the Diamond Head side of the hall. If your booth is located on the Diamond Head side of the hall, you can park temporarily in the coned off stalls just outside the Diamond Head entrance (see map). You must move your cars immediately after you're done unloading. The Concert Hall's loading area will be available to us. ------------------------ THURSDAY LOADING BADGE If you're in need of assistance with either heavy items or have a physical disability, please contact us in advance for a LOADING BADGE before the show. These LOADING BADGES are good for Thursday ONLY unless cleared by us. This badge is for active loading only and the holder must leave immediately after unloading. No shopping will be allowed. ------------------ VENDOR SHOW BADGES Show entry badges for vendors will be distributed at the vendor's entrance at the rear of the hall as you come in to set up. Please have an ID ready. Each 10 foot standard booth will be alotted 2 vendor and 2 sales badges. If you have minor children, contact us before the show for a special Junior badge. Vendor badges that are abused will be confiscated. Sales helpers WILL BE ALLOWED IN 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE OPENING OF THE SHOW ON Friday at 3pm. Sales helpers may come in with vendors at 9am on Saturday. Extra Sales badges are $3 each. Sales badges will be distributed 30 minutes before the show opens. ------------------------ AFTER UNLOADING YOUR CAR When you are through unloading your car, please move it to the multi-story parking building so the next person can unload. Please DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN FRONT OF ANY LOADING DOORS. -------------- VENDOR PARKING For $7.00 you can purchase an Exhibitor's parking pass that allows you unlimited re-entry for that day. You have to ask for it. Regular parking fee is $4.00 before 5pm and $5.00 after 5pm with no re-entry. The parking grace period is 20 minutes. ---------------- FURNITURE RENTAL ICES will be installing the booths and handling any booth furniture and accessory rentals. They will be mailing furniture kits to each vendor soon. You may contact them at (808)832-2430 or FAX (808)832-2431. The deadline for a special show discount is July 6. As always, you are welcome to bring your own furniture. -------------------- CHAIRS & TABLECLOTHS Chairs are free on a self serve basis. Need a chair? Come by and pick one up at registration. Bring your own tablecloths. --------------- SHOWCASE RENTAL The Store Fixture Outlet will be renting showcases (delivered to your booth), fixtures and display items at 870 Kawaiahao St. Call Derrick at 808-593-0711. -------------------- TABLE TOP COIN CASES The Hawaii State Numismatic Assn. will again be renting table top Allstate coin display cases as a club fund raiser. These locking cases (34" x 24" x 3") will rent for $18 each. Call us to order at 941-9754. ------------------------ THURS & FRIDAY OVERNIGHT Keep an eye on your merchandise especially during set up and take down. We have overnight security on Thursday & Friday nights. Nevertheless, it's a good idea to cover your merchandise before you leave. ----------- TAX LICENSE Vendors please remember to bring your State GE Tax Licenses & receipt books in case State Tax Inspectors show up. ----------------------------- OTHER EVENTS AT THE BLAISDELL The Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition will be in the Arena with dressing rooms in the Hawaii Suites on Friday and Saturday. The Ikaika Bodybuilding Championships will be held in the Concert Hall on Saturday night beginning at 5pm. ----------------------- NO CHAIRS IN THE AISLES Fire Marshall rules require that all aisles be kept clear. Please do not put any chairs or other items in the aisles during the show. --------------- VENDOR'S LOUNGE The vendor's lounge is a rest area exclusively for vendors and their sales helpers. Free ice water, coffee, tea, and a place for you to rest your sore saddles are among the amenities to be found in the lounge. Look for it between booths 423 & 530. ----------------------- NO SMOKING OR GAMBLING Smoking is not allowed in the Exhibition Hall. We don't allow any games of chance. Gambling is illegal in Hawaii. ------------- EARLY ENTRY Early entry will start at 1:30pm. The show officially starts at 3pm. Because the Blaisdell Center does not allow carts to be used whenever the public enters the hall, no unescorted carts or wagons will be allowed to be used in the hall after 1:30pm; hand carries only. Also, all aisles should be clear of all merchandise & debris after 2pm. You can continue setting up within your booth until 3pm. Or you may start selling to the early entry people at 1:30pm. Please be sure to keep the aisles clear after 1:30pm. -------------- SHOW TAKEDOWN Everything must be out of the hall by 9pm on Saturday. Be sure to empty all of your trash into the large show dumpster (marked) outside the back door under the tree. Your sales people may help you.
